The LSAMO Forum UK notes the decision taken on Wednesday 28 January 2015 by the Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) Council to accept the recommendation from the recent report, ‘Midwifery regulation in the United Kingdom’ (The King’s Fund, January 2015), that statutory supervision should no longer be part of its legal framework.
